Stress reduction through mindfulness

A hectic work life, a chock-full family calendar, household chores, and around-the-clock availability – stress has become a national epidemic. Switching off is all the more difficult, because we are always consumed by important issues. Here, mindfulness training can help you to manage stress in a healthy way. SWICA is committed to promoting wellbeing and therefore offers those with COMPLETA PRAEVENTA and OPTIMA supplementary insurance up to 600 francs* a year for participating in MBSR or TLEX courses.

MBSR courses

MBSR is an eight-week “Stress Management through Mindfulness” course based on the ideas of Jon Kabat-Zinn. SWICA customers receive up to 600 francs* a year towards their MBSR course fees. MBSR stands for mindfulness-based stress reduction, and the course will help you to cope more effectively with stress in everyday life. MBSR is usually taught as an eight-week course, and completing it will make you less prone to getting stressed and more confident, calm, cheerful and relaxed.

TLEX courses

TLEX training and coaching combines breathing techniques and mindfulness exercises for the body and mind. The aim is to help you become more resilient and strengthen your wellbeing. You will learn breathing techniques and discover new energy sources and ways to reduce stress. The mindfulness exercises are designed to help you rethink your mental habits and live fully in the present. The seminars and coaching sessions take between six and ten hours, spread over 30 days. This allows you to learn the techniques gradually and make them become part of your daily life. SWICA customers receive up to 600 francs* a year towards their TLEX course fees.

*SWICA covers 50% of the costs from your COMPLETA PRAEVENTA supplementary plan, up to 300 francs per calendar year. Furthermore, your OPTIMA supplementary plan covers 90% of the costs exceeding this amount, up to 300 francs per calendar year. This can result in prevention contributions of up to 600 francs per year.
