You can notify us online if you want to include or exclude accident cover in your basic insurance.
Note on excluding accident cover
Under the Federal Act on Accident Insurance (UVG), anyone who is employed for at least eight hours a week by the same employer is automatically insured by that employer for occupational and non-occupational accidents. They can exclude accident cover from their mandatory basic health insurance and save 7% on their basic insurance premium. Everyone else must include accident cover in their health insurance.
