Preventive healthcare includes measures to prevent or reduce the impact of particular health disorders and diseases. Under the COMPLETA PRAEVENTA and OPTIMA supplementary insurance plans, SWICA makes contributions towards numerous preventive measures, as long as they are delivered by a SWICA-recognised partner or provider.
Up to CHF 600 per year in preventive healthcare benefits
SWICA covers 50% of the costs from your COMPLETA PRAEVENTA supplementary plan, up to 300 francs per calendar year. Furthermore, your OPTIMA supplementary plan covers 90% of the costs exceeding this amount, up to 300 francs per calendar year. This can result in prevention contributions of up to 600 francs per year.

Medical and gynaecological checkupsSWICA contributes towards the cost of some checkups which help identify illness at an early stage and which do not constitute statutory benefits. Under a COMPLETA PRAEVENTA plan, SWICA covers 90% of the cost, up to 500 francs within three calendar years. Under an OPTIMA plan, it covers 90% of the costs exceeding this amount per year.
Medically recommended travel-related and other vaccinationsSWICA contributes towards the cost of travel-related and other vaccinations which aren't included under mandatory insurance cover. Under a COMPLETA PRAEVENTA plan, SWICA covers 90% of the cost, at maximum of 200 francs per calendar year. Under an OPTIMA plan, it covers 90% of the costs exceeding this amount per year.
