SWICA Supplementa: a simple explanation of what it covers

Supplementa adds to your existing benefits under Completa Top or Completa Forte precisely where additional costs arise – for example for glasses or contact lenses. It can also be taken out in combination with Optima. An example from everyday life illustrates how your supplementary insurance plans complement each other:

A new pair of glasses or contact lenses cost 1600 francs.

      • Completa Forte supplementary insurance contributes 900 francs to the cost.
      • And that’s where Supplementa comes in, covering another 300 francs.
      • Optima covers an additional 300 francs.
      • That only leaves 100 francs for you to pay yourself.
