Companies with a tailored OHM policy achieve the best results for occupational health management. Analysing the daily allowance benefits received provides valuable information, and shows where there is the greatest potential for development. This analysis can be used as a basis for setting strategic OHM targets and defining corresponding measures. The OHM specialists at SWICA work with clients to develop tailored, needs-based OHM concepts covering the analysis, development and implementation of measures, as well as controlling.
SWICA is one of the first companies in Switzerland to be awarded the “Friendly Work Space” quality label. Overall, the SWICA Healthcare Organisation ranks among the top 10% of certified companies. This award for its occupational health management programme shows that SWICA’s experts are well qualified to support your company with a broad range of offers that have been tried and tested in practice. SWICA’s specialists are consultants accredited by Gesundheitsförderung Schweiz.
Our daily work often involves one-sided physical motions and a lack of movements on the other side to balance them out. There are targeted measures that can be applied to prevent common issues. Experienced ergonomics specialists analyse workstations first-hand, and advise employees on what they can do in regard to healthier habits. These ergonomics consultations are suitable for office and manufacturing workstations. Tailored programmes are put together depending on the company and the industry in which it operates.
The workplace health capacity assessment supports employees whose performance is limited due to illness or accidents. The environment, the behaviour of employees and the conditions at the workstation are evaluated, and solutions are developed together. The workplace assessment makes it possible to objectively compare physical capabilities with the demands of the workload required to perform certain activities. The aim is to maintain existing professional activities and reduce the costs incurred from absences.
In 2021, many employees suddenly found themselves working from home, and there was a boom in people using their own four walls as an office. But how should companies deal with this issue post-pandemic? While working from home has a positive impact on productivity, satisfaction and work-life balance, it also entails risks, particularly with regard to team development and employee isolation. SWICA’s OHM advice service is on hand to help with questions about working from home, and offers various webinars, workshops and talks aimed at making employees who work from home more health-savvy.
Thanks to its broad range of prevention management products and services, SWICA is in a position to meet companies’ individual needs when it comes to working from home. SWICA offers companies expert advice and support in connection with this analytical tool to enable them to conduct a survey of their own employees and develop targeted OHM measures on that basis. Health circles aim to promote the health of all employees. They are a tried-and-tested tool for involving employees in the process of finding solutions and strengthening personal responsibility and initiative. Employees from various levels, departments and/or locations within the company work together to devise health promotion measures. Once the measures have been implemented, the outcomes are evaluated and the situation is reassessed with a view to planning the next steps.
The health check gives employees their current health metrics, raising their awareness of potential risk factors and the importance of a healthy lifestyle – at home and at work. In a personal interview, participants are given information and recommendations for how they can improve and maintain their health based on the results of the examination. The scope and contents of the health check can vary depending on the company’s requirements. The optional health report then draws the company’s attention to any health-related risks, so that further OHM measures can be developed to target those risks.
Heart rate variability (HRV) is a metric allowing an accurate and objective assessment of the relationship between stress, recovery and sleep quality. In a personal consultation, employees learn what situations trigger stress for them and impair their recovery, and are given tips on how to achieve a healthy balance between stress and recuperation. During the subscription period, employees can independently perform other measurements and track the effect of their measures using the mobile app.
InBody© takes just a few minutes to provide a detailed analysis of your body composition. In combination with a personal consultation on site, participants receive valuable recommendations regarding their nutrition and exercise.
