Under the Federal Act on Accident Insurance Act (UVG), anyone who is employed at least eight hours a week by the same employer is automatically insured by that employer for occupational and other accidents. By excluding accident cover from your mandatory health insurance in Switzerland, you can save 7% on your basic insurance premiums. If this does not apply to you, accident cover must be included in your health insurance.
With SWICA’s basic insurance, you receive family discounts for children and young adults.

You can submit the confirmation to SWICA before or after your military service. The premium for your basic insurance is completely suspended for this period, or refunded if you submit your claim after your military service.
