Frequently asked questions on your application to SWICA

A complete set of documents helps us gain a better impression of you. That includes your CV, a cover letter, your current school certificates, the results of the multi-check, language diplomas (if available), evaluations of trial days, and anything else you would like to show us. For data protection reasons, we can only consider applications that are uploaded to our careers page.

When you upload your application, you will be asked if someone has recommended you. If so, you can enter that person’s name.

The moment has arrived for you to start your apprenticeship. To ensure that your first day at SWICA is a complete success, the vocational training manager will welcome you to the introductory week. 

Over three (IT apprentices) to five (commercial apprentices) days, you will be given a wealth of valuable information about SWICA and your apprenticeship. 

You can also take advantage of the opportunity to get to know the other apprentices.

An application may be rejected for many different reasons that are specific to each case. You can email the vocational training manager for more information. She will be happy to get in touch with you. You can find her contact details in the advertisement, or get them from the HR team.

The individual steps are set out on our website. There, you can find out what to expect at every stage of the process, and the best way to prepare.

We respond to every applicant as quickly as possible. Soon after getting the email confirming that your application has successfully been submitted, you will receive an invitation, a notification that we still need some time, or a rejection.

It's best if you address this question directly to the vocational training manager. There are many possible reasons for a rejection, and it may well be that a different apprenticeship would work better for you and for us. You can find contact details in the advertisement, or get them from the HR team.

Congratulations, and welcome to SWICA! Once you have received our written offer by email, our HR Services team will send you an onboarding email. 

As soon as you have submitted all of the necessary information and documents, within a few days you will receive your apprenticeship contract containing lots of important information.

Your data will be deleted from our system after six months of inactivity at the latest.

Your data will be automatically deleted after six months of inactivity. You cannot delete your profile yourself, however. 

If you want your profile to be deleted, you can send an email to hrrecruiting@swica.ch.

If you decide to withdraw your application, there are two ways that you can do this. If you have created a profile, you can withdraw your application using the “Delete” button. 

If you have submitted your application without creating a profile, you can send a brief email to us at berufsbildung@swica.ch.
