MBSR – mindfulness-based stress reduction

A hectic work life, a full-on family life, household chores and 24/7 availability: stress has become a national epidemic. Switching off is difficult, and our thoughts are constantly circling around the subjects that concern us. Mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR), an increasingly popular eight-week program based on Jon Kabat-Zinn's work, may offer a solution: .SWICA customers receive up to CHF 600 per year towards their MBSR course.

To strengthen their wellbeing, SWICA customers with the COMPLETA PRAEVENTA and OPTIMA supplementary insurance plans receive annual contributions of up to CHF 600 for participating in mindfulness training. The aim of MBSR is to boost the individual's mindfulness with the aim of dealing consciously with stress in everyday life. MBSR is usually taught in eight-week courses. Individuals who complete the course should be less sensitive to stress, less anxious, calmer, more cheerful and better able to relax.
