Registration/login is carried out via the SWICA account. The login can be reset at any time using the email address.
No, you can use the app without registering. However, not all views will be available in this case.
Registration takes place through the SWICA registration process. If another service (e.g. MySWICA) is already being used, the access is the same. Each policyholder has his own personal access.

The BENEVITA app can also be used without a login. In order to benefit from the BENEVITA bonus programme with digital coach, you need to have relevant supplementary insurance plans. If you would like to know more about the possibilities, please contact Customer Service.

There are 4 different levels in BENEVITA.
It begins with the starter level. After that we go to levels 1, 2 and 3.

When you receive the welcome award. This is assigned automatically to everyone who uses the app.
You have to complete 20 challenges to reach level 1.

You have to complete 40 challenges and
2 perfect weeks: 2 weeks in which you complete 5 challenges each in the categories wellbeing, nutrition and exercise within 7 days.
1 perfect month: This consists of 10 challenges each in the categories wellbeing, nutrition and exercise within one month.

You have to complete 60 challenges and
3 perfect weeks: 3 weeks in which you complete 5 challenges each in the categories wellbeing, nutrition and exercise within 7 days
2 perfect months: 2 months in which you complete 10 challenges each in the categories wellbeing, nutrition and exercise within one month.
After each successfully completed challenge, you receive an award.
This involves completing one challenge each relating to wellbeing, nutrition and exercise on one calendar day.
This involves completing 5 challenges each relating to wellbeing, nutrition and exercise within 7 days.
This involves completing 20 challenges each relating to wellbeing, nutrition and exercise within 30 days.

Challenges are designed so that they can be quickly completed and easily integrated into everyday life. BENEVITA offers quiz challenges in which the user reads a text relating to nutrition, exercise or wellbeing. A question about the content is then asked. There are three possible answers, but only one is correct. If you answer the question correctly, you receive an award.

Then there are live challenges in which the user watches a short video showing a new recipe, ways of integrating health-promoting exercises into everyday life, or how to be more mindful. The videos show how healthy habits can be built into the user's daily routine. Finally, there are tracking challenges, which are intended to counteract long periods of sitting and inactivity. They motivate the user to exercise day by day.

You are free to choose which challenges you want to complete.

During the development of the new BENEVITA app, the most common and most widely used devices and operating systems were analysed. This process ensured that BENEVITA can be used on most devices. Currently, the new BENEVITA app is available for over 90% of devices and operating systems.

The following operating systems are supported:
IOS 12 and higher
Android 7 and higher

The following devices are supported*:
iPhone 6 and higher, iPhone 6 Plus
Samsung Galaxy S8 and higher
Various other Android devices (Xiami, One Plus, Huawei)
Various tablets (not optimised, as the app was developed for smartphones)

*Given that there are more than 6'500 Android devices, this list is not exhaustive. However, due to the large number of devices, the app has not been optimized for all of them. The key factor is the operating system: iOS 12 or Android 7.
The BENEVITA app/the tracking challenges can be connected with the HealthKit or Google Fit. This means that the challenges can also be taken using a smartphone. Popular apps (including runtastic, nike+, Polar, Strava and Lifesum) also use the interface to Google Fit/Google HealthKit.
Only the number of steps is tracked.

1. Select «Settings» on your smartphone.

2. Scroll down to the Health app.

3. Select «Data Access & Devices».

4. Select the BENEVITA app.

5. Activate the button at «Steps».

6. Go into the BENEVITA app and start a tracking challenge.

1. Open the Google Fit app on your Android device.

2. Tap «Profile» at the bottom.

3. Select the gear icon for settings.

4. Select «Manage connected apps».

5. Make sure that BENEVITA appears as connected. It may be that Android requires another step.

6. Tap «Collect activity readings» and make sure the option is enabled.

7. Go into the BENEVITA app and start a tracking challenge.


Garmin

1. Download the Garmin Connect app.

2. Connect your Garmin watch to the Garmin Connect app.

3. Select «Settings» on your smartphone.

4. Scroll down to the Apple Health app.

5. Select «Data Access & Devices».

6. Select the Garmin Connect app.

7. Activate the button at «Steps».

8. Check whether «Steps» in the Apple Health app is also activated for the BENEVITA app.

9. Go into the BENEVITA app and start a tracking challenge.

Polar

1. Open the Polar Flow app.

2. Tap «More» at the bottom right and go to «General settings».

3. Set the Apple Health toggle switch to green.

4. Enable the «Steps» category so that it is synchronised for the Apple Health app.

5. Select «Allow» at the top right.

6. Your steps in the Polar Flow app will now be synchronised with Apple Health.

7. Go into the BENEVITA app and start a tracking challenge.

Apple Watch

1. Open the Apple Health app.

2. Tap your profile at the top right.

3. Select «Devices».

4. Tap your Apple Watch.

5. Then tap on « Privacy settings» and make sure that the «Fitness log» is activated.

6. Go into the BENEVITA app and start a tracking challenge.

Fitbit

1. Download the free Power Sync for Fitbit app.

2. Open the Power Sync app and tap «Sync now».

3. Sign in to your Fitbit account.

4. Tap on «Allow all» (all data must be allowed if you want to use the free version).

5. Select «Allow all».

6. Synchronisation is now complete.

7. In order for the free version to sync your data, you must select «Sync now» manually.

8. Go into the BENEVITA app and start a tracking challenge.

Samsung Watch

1. Download the Samsung Galaxy Watch app from the App Store.

2. Start the selection.

3. Select the Samsung Watch and connect it to the Samsung Watch app.

4. Accept the terms and conditions.

5. Skip the Samsung account.

6. Select «Open Samsung Health».

7. Download the Samsung Health app in order to sync your steps with the Health app.

8. Go into the BENEVITA app and start a tracking challenge.

Garmin

1. Download the Health Sync app from the Play Store.

2. Open the Health Sync app.

3. In the Health Sync app, select Garmin Connect as the source app.

4. Then select Google Fit as the destination app in order to sync your Garmin data with Google Fit.

5. Select «Initialise Garmin connection».

6. Select «Ok» to authorize Garmin to do this.

7. Sign in to your Garmin account.

8. Accept the connection with Health Sync.

9. Go into the Google Fit app and check the synchronisation.

10. Go into the BENEVITA app and start a tracking challenge.

Fitbit

1. Download the FitToFit app from the Play Store.

2. Start FitToFit.

3. Sign in to the FitToFit app with your Fitbit login.

4. Synchronise the data.

5. Go into the BENEVITA app and start a tracking challenge.

Polar

1. Download the Health Sync app from the Play Store.

2. Open the Health Sync app.

3. In the Health Sync app, select Polar Flow as the source app.

4. Sign in to your Polar account.

5. Then select Google Fit as the destination app in order to sync your Polar data with Google Fit.

6. Accept the terms and conditions.

7. Accept the connection with Health Sync.

8. Go into the Google Fit app and check the synchronisation.

9. Go into the BENEVITA app and start a tracking challenge.

Samsung Watch

1. Download the Health Sync app from the Play Store.

2. Open the Health Sync app.

3. In the Health Sync app, select Samsung Watch as the source app.

4. Then select Google Fit as the destination app in order to sync your Smartwatch data with Google Fit.

5. Select «Allow» to allow the Health Sync app to access Google Fit.

6. Allow Samsung Health to access your steps.

7. Synchronisation is now complete.

8. Go into the BENEVITA app and start a tracking challenge.

No, non-customers can also use the BENEVITA app, with restrictions.
The app can be used by anyone. Any SWICA customer wishing to take advantage of the bonus programme must have the app installed.
No. Although basic insurance customers can use the app, they do not receive premium discounts or offers.
BENEVITA is suitable for all adults who want to find out more about health, exercise, nutrition and wellbeing. It can be used by anyone. The platform excludes no-one.

The BENEVITA health platform can only be used via the app and therefore only if you have a smartphone. It's not possible any other way. The web version is no longer available.
Offline use of the app is limited. The app is only fully available online.

BENEVITA enhances everyday wellbeing by offering content and information on a range of health topics – digitally and in bitesize pieces. This takes the form of a quizzes, activities (tracking challenges, for example, in which steps are counted), or videos that encourage users to take up new activities (such as cooking a recipe).
No, the BENEVITA app is not a medical product. All the content relates to preventive measures for a healthy lifestyle. The app acts as a digital health coach. It teaches the topic of health in a playful, step-by-step way, so that it can be integrated into everyday life. The challenges encourage users to engage with the health-promoting activities.

That's right. The health questionnaire has been replaced by the challenges.
Instead of answering 20 unconnected questions and completing one self-declaration, it's now necessary to actively complete challenges in order to receive a premium discount.

In the «Offers» section, you can choose until 30 April whether you want to redeem the awards won in each level as a premium discount on the COMPLETA TOP and HOSPITA supplementary insurance plans and/or in the form of vouchers for offers in online shops.

If you redeem the premium discount on the COMPLETA TOP and HOSPITA supplementary insurance plans and/or a voucher for offers in online shops, you will remain at the level you have already achieved. All users are set back to the «Starter» level on 1 May.

Important: For each level reached, you can decide whether you want to redeem the voucher in exchange for offers in online shops or for a premium discount on the COMPLETA TOP and HOSPITA supplementary insurance plans.
